Pick out a beautiful dress with beautiful complementary colors to the bride and make sure it is not more extravagant then her dress in any way, again, this is obvious but you would not believe what I have seen in my years of doing this.

Locally there are bridal shops I am sure, if not, go to a bigger town and find some or at least go on the net. You really need to look at fabrics, colors, styles, textures and also the cost as well.

The designer label is not that important unless you are a high society girl then go ahead and compare brands as well. After all what would muffy and buffy think?

So, make sure you follow my simple tips above and talk to the bride about all of it. Take it one step at a time and there will be not be a single problem, this I am confident about.

The Best Man’s speech can be daunting for the best friend of the groom. You are given the honor of speaking on one of the most important days of your friend’s life as he enters the married state with his bride. So what do you say? One thing to do is to think about the bride and groom. You may have known both for a long time. Choose jokes that are relevant and have simple delivery. As the best man you are almost considered to be the master of ceremonies for the reception so one of the expectations is that you will be the funny man. Keep jokes simple and brief to reduce the bomb factor and keep it relevant to the wedding. Some of the greatest jokes and standup routines are based on everyday life and situations. The more natural the joke the more likely its impact on your audience

To make sure that you don’t get off topic have a note card with the main points of your speech. You don’t have to and you shouldn’t try to memorize your speech. Keep to the basic to make it fresh and new. You want to make it flexible so you can respond to the audience and make the speech more appealing.

Keep it simple and clear. You don’t have to use complicated English or really obscure words from the dictionary. Keep the language plain and as descriptive as needed. The point of a good speech is to effectively convey your thoughts and feelings

Show the groom in light of being your friend. Since this is his special day, try to include stories of situations where the groom showed characteristics that you found admirable. You job is to show a unique side of the groom that others even family may not see.
