Has your Farmville experience been a little lackluster lately? Maybe you powered through the early levels and made huge amounts of coins, but now you find yourself a little stuck – you want to make more coins, but don’t know how.
When this happens, it’s important to keep in mind the fact that the best crops to plant and harvest, in terms of their profit per hour, don’t stay the same as you level up. During levels 1-4, the top crop is strawberries — they earn 6.25 coins an hour. At level eight, raspberries become the top crop, earning 13 coins every hour.
Of course, this all depends on how much time you have available to play Farmville. If your time is limited, pumpkins are the best crop to plant, earning 4.75 coins per hour and taking eight hours to mature.
Another less time-demanding option opens up at level seven — rice. Rice makes 4.25 coins an hour for 12 hours before it’s ready for harvest, which means they take four more hours to mature and make 0.5 less coins an hour than pumpkins. That makes the two crops nearly equal, so the decision is really up to you.
Though if you can manage it, go with raspberries for levels 8-16. Since they’re harvestable in only two hours, you have the potential for eight harvests in a single 16-hour day. That ends up being a lot of daily income given the fact that raspberries make 13 coins an hour.
When you reach level 17, you can either switch to blueberries or stick with raspberries. Blueberries earn 10.25 coins per hour and mature in four hours, so it really depends on your schedule, since, as we covered earlier, raspberries earn 13 coins per hour and mature in two hours.
If you’d like an idea of how many coins in profit you can make in a week from raspberries, 9,856 is a good figure, but also a huge underestimate. It’s an underestimate because it assumes that you’re planting in a very small field of only 16 plots.
Throughout your leveling process, make sure that you’re constantly checking on the amount of coins different crops earn per hour. It’s not always going to be the case that raspberries and blueberries will be the highest earners. TO easily figure out how many coins a crop makes per hour, just use the following formula:
(Sell Price – Cost) / Hours to Mature = Coins Per Hour
By keeping track of the crops that make the most coins per hour as you grow in levels, you should never be without income! Happy farming!
