Before receiving treatment you don’t need to go through any testing before receiving Restylane treatment. However, there are certain things you should avoid prior to receiving treatment. Avoid taking aspirin, taking high doses of Vitamin E, taking any anti-inflammatory medications, and taking anti-coagulants (blood thinners). Make sure to discuss any rashes or cold sores you may have had on your face with your doctor.

The treatment time for Restylane varies for every patient. After you obtain the treatment, however, the results last for about six months, with some patients’ results lasting up to nine months. After you receive your treatment you may go through some redness, swelling or general discomfort. These side-effects usually last less than one week. In some cases, small red bumps also appear on the skin, although they’re very rare.
